The wait is over. This weekend, March 7-8, MXGP Argentina YPF will take place in San Carlos de Bariloche, in the province of Río Negro. The new track, specially designed for the opening of the Motocross World Championship, will be the venue of two amazing days featuring the best riders on the planet.

Bariloche MX Race Track is gearing up for the big motocross party that will kick off the 2026 season, which promises to be explosive. Without a doubt, all eyes will be on Jeffrey Herlings and Tim Gajser. The five-time world champions will make their debut in Bariloche with their new Honda and Yamaha teams, respectively, in what was the big news of the pre-season.

Naturally, the interesting line-up of riders registered for the MXGP Argentina also includes reigning champions Romain Febvre (Kawasaki Racing Team MXGP) and Simon Langenfelder (Red Bull KTM Factory Racing -MX2-). Joining them and ready to do battle will be Jeremy Seewer (Aruba.it – Ducati Factory MX Team), Maxime Renaux (Monster Energy Yamaha Factory MXGP Team), Paul Jonass (Kawasaki Racing Team MXGP) and Tom Vialle (Honda HRC Petronas), marking the official return of the two-time French champion to the World Championship.

But as if that weren’t enough, local riders and riders from across the region will also be present at the only MXGP competition on American soil. Argentine Joaquín Poli leads the Argentine legion that will be present in Bariloche. In addition, in this world championship setting, riders will battle for glory in pursuit of the Latin American championship title organised by FIM Latam.
