The MXGP Argentina YPF has officially started today

This Friday, the MXGP Argentina YPF had the first official activities of the 2025 season of the Motocross World Championship. The riders and their teams completed all the administrative formalities and the scrutineering as well; a total of 75 riders (43 MXGP riders and 32 MX2 riders) will start with the action on track tomorrow morning.

At the same time, on this first day, the opening press conferences of the championship were held, with the presence of authorities and riders. David Luongo (CEO of Infront Moto Racing) referred to the new venue of the MXGP Argentina YPF: “It is very difficult to measure from the outside how complex it is to organize an event like this and make a good race not only for the riders but also for the spectators to have the best experience”.

In turn, Antonio Alía Portela (FIM Director) highlighted the work done by +Eventos (local organizer): “We left a part of our hearts in Villa La Angostura, but at the same time, when they announced that the new circuit was going to be in Córdoba I knew I could trust this team because I know what it is like to work with them. We put all our trust in this organization and in the Eli family”.

Pablo Eli, Director of +Eventos also highlighted this new era of the Motocross World Championship in Córdoba: “We are very happy to have a round of the World Championship in Argentina once again, and even more now, in our home. It has been months of work in all weather conditions. I want to thank Infront, the FIM and the authorities of the Government of Córdoba as well as the sponsors for making this possible”.

While at the riders’ Press Conference Romain Febvre (Kawasaki Racing Team MXGP) talked about the new Infinito Race Track: “When they told me there was a new circuit I thought ‘What a pity!’. I liked Villa La Angostura track, it was my favorite. But when I got here and saw this new track I was surprised. It has really big jumps and it’s a big, wide and open track”.
