With the arrival of the teams’ equipment and the first members of the organization of the Motocross World Championship, the circuit located near the city of Villa Angostura is already getting ready to receive the third round of the championship which will be held this weekend and will be followed by a huge crowd.
The two years without the Patagonia event only increased the anxiety and the desire of the MXGP protagonists to come back to Argentina. The most important category of world motocross returns to Villa La Angostura and both the organizers and the members of the teams showed their satisfaction to start again in the track which was awarded as the best of the calendar for five consecutive years (2015 to 2019).
This Wednesday, tasks related to the logistics of the competition were completed and the circuit was finished in order to get it ready for the action.
«The logistics starts four months before, to coordinate how the equipment of the category will arrive, and these are divided into three groups: fuel, tires and equipment. The first ones travel by sea, while the motorcycles arrive by plane; there are 50 packages totaling 30 tons», says Matías Albornoz, Director of Waiver, the company responsible for the transportation of all the equipment for the championship.
«The materials arrived in the country last weekend and after all the customs formalities, the six trucks left for Villa La Angostura so that today we can carry out all the unloading at the circuit site», completed Albornoz.
Press Conference
A press conference will be held to inaugurate the MXGP Patagonia Argentina, with the presence of the event organizers and local authorities. This press conference will be on Friday 18th, at 12 noon in the Media Center of the Patagonia Race Track.
