The MXGP Patagonia Argentina, which will be held on March 9 and 10 in Villa La Angostura, is set to be a great start of the 2024 season.

As in 2023, the FIM Motocross World Championship will begin in Patagonia and will do so with the presence of great world champions such as Jorge Prado (reigning champion), Tim Gajser, Jeffrey Herlings, Romain Febvre, Maxime Renaux and Pauls Jonass, along with the formidable duo of four-time world runners-up, Jago Geerts and Jeremy Seewer. Without a doubt, it will be the start of what promises to be one of the most fiercely competitive seasons in MXGP history. In the MX2 category, Andrea Adamo will face a formidable challenge as he will have to contend with title contenders Liam Everts, Simon Langenfelder, Lucas Coenen and Kay de Wolf, among others.

This eighth edition of the MXGP in Argentina will be particularly attractive. Not only because of the names that will be present, but also because of what it will entail. It will be the return of the five-time champion, Tim Gajser (Team HRC), who will return to the country after the injuries suffered that sidelined him last year. Along with the Slovenian, the Honda team will arrive in the country with Rubén Fernandez (winner in Argentina in 2023) and Ferruccio Zanch, in what will mean the manufacturer’s prestigious return in MX2.

It will also mark Seewer’s official championship debut under the Kawasaki Racing Team colours. The Swiss rider who knew how to conquer the hearts of the Argentine fans by wearing the Argentine National Team shirt left Yamaha after six years to get on the green machines. For its part, the Monster Energy Yamaha Factory MXGP Team will also involve the debut of Jago Geerts in MXGP. After seven years in MX2, the talented Belgian rider will seek his long-awaited title – this time – in the big category.

Naturally, all eyes will also be on Red Bull KTM Factory Racing. Now under the command of Harry Norton (Antonio Cairoli emigrated to Ducati), the team will try to defend the trophy in MX2 and will surely go in search of the long-awaited sixth title for Herlings, who also hopes to face the season without physical problems.

Without a doubt, the MXGP Patagonia Argentina 2024 promises to be an exceptional GP in a season that will be awesome.
