In Villa La Angostura, the atmosphere of the World Motocross Championship is
already in the air and this weekend the opening of the 2024 season will take place at
the Patagonia Race Track. The teams have already started with the installation of
their structures while the organisation is finalising details at the circuit to get
everything ready. Tomorrow will be the time for the last pre-race checks, while on
Saturday the on-track action will start.
The most important motocross show in the world is ready to take the first step of a
2024 season that will have 20 stops around the world. But the first of the rounds, the
place where riders and action will meet again, will be in Villa La Angostura, at the
award-winning Patagonia Race Track that riders and spectators enjoy so much.
On Thursday, the teams began arriving at the circuit’s Paddock to set up their
structures and get the machines ready for Friday’s scrutineering. Some of the riders
arrived in the afternoon to tour the circuit but most of them will arrive tomorrow to start
the promotional actions prior to the start of the season.
Official activity starts this Friday
Although the action for spectators at the circuit will start on Saturday, this Friday will
be a busy day for the MXGP Argentina YPF INFINIA. While the riders will have to go
through the scrutineering, the opening press conferences of the championship will be
held with the presence of David Luongo (Infront Moto Racing), Antonio Alía Portela
(FIM) and David Eli (Head of +Eventos, the local organizer) at 11am. Afterwards, the
riders of the category will also be present (from 14:30hs) in what will be the curtain-
raiser of the Championship.
Signing Session: ¡New location!
Tomorrow, the traditional signing session will take place in the city centre with the
World Motocross riders. From 18hs, at CEF n°7 (new location!) the MXGP Argentina
YPF INFINIA riders will be present in the centre of Villa La Angostura for what will be
their first contact with the fans.
