Pure motocross days are coming with the MXGP Argentina YPF to be held this weekend, March 1 and 2, in Córdoba Capital.
The new Infinito Race Track is getting ready for its grand debut. It will be with the opening round of the Motocross World Championship in what is expected to be one of the most fiercely contested seasons ever.
«While official activities for riders and teams will begin on Friday, the main event will kick off on Saturday. Track activities will start early with the Blåkläder Start Practice (from 9:15), which will mark the beginning of a full day packed with action on the 1800-meter circuit. This will include Free Practice (from 10:45), Time Practice (starting at 13:20), and Free/Qualifying Practice, which will play a key role in determining the final entry list for the MXGP category. In the afternoon, the adrenaline will build as the MX2 Qualifying Race (20 minutes + 2 laps) gets underway at 15:25, followed by the MXGP qualifying at 16:10.»
On Sunday, track activity will begin at 10:25 AM with the Warm-Up. The most anticipated moment of the weekend will take place around noon. At 12:15 PM, the MX2 Race 1 (30 minutes + 2 laps) will start, followed by the MXGP race 1 at 1:10 PM. The GP will be decided with Race 2 of both categories, which will begin at 3:10 PM and 4:10 PM, respectively.
On both days, Saturday and Sunday (spectators are not allowed access on Friday), the circuit gates will open at 6 AM for general admission tickets and from 8 AM for VIP ticket holders. All attendees can access it by showing their QR codes. The event will not be cancelled due to rain.

The MXGP Argentina YPF has earned its prominent place in the Motocross World Championship. Its relevance within a season that features a total of 20 rounds with the competition in Cordoba being the only one to be held in the whole American continent, translates into the great interest of the riders to compete in this round and the entry list shows it.
In MX2 (4-stroke engines up to 250cc; riders’ age limit: 23 years old) there will be 36 riders with Kay de Wolf (Nestaan Husqvarna Factory Racing) who will be the title defender. This round will be the first battle against title contenders such as Simon Längenfelder (Red Bull KTM Factory Racing), Liam Everts (Nestaan Husqvarna Factory Racing), Andrea Adamo (Red Bull KTM Factory Racing) and Thibault Benistant (Monster Energy Yamaha Factory).
While in MXGP (4-stroke engines up to 450cc;) there will be a bulging number of 45 riders headed by Tim Gajser (Honda HRC) -Jeffrey Herlings (Red Bull KTM Factory Racing) has not been able to recover from his injury and will not be present in Córdoba-, Romain Febvre (Kawasaki Racing Team MXGP), Maxime Renaux (Monster Energy Yamaha Factory MXGP Team), Jago Geerts (Monster Energy Yamaha Factory MXGP Team) and Jeremy Seewer (Aruba.it – Ducati Factory MX Team), among others. Consequently, the Free/Qualifying Practice on Saturday will be decisive, since the list of 40 drivers who will start the Qualifying Race and Sunday’s race will be established based on the times achieved in these practices.
No doubt, Córdoba Will experience an action-packed weekend with the MXGP Argentina YPF.
